How to spot a real free sample offer instead of a scam

Edmonton listings get checked before they go live — a working claim form, clear terms for how people actually receive the item, and no hidden fee tucked into the fine print. Anything that fails one of those checks gets pulled, not just flagged.

Most of what shows up here falls into a few predictable categories: skincare and makeup from brands testing a product before a full launch, food and drink giveaways tied to a new release, and household items handed out to build early reviews. Beauty brands show up more than anyone else — a sample that turns one in twenty recipients into a paying customer is still a good deal for them.

A genuine offer almost always links straight to the brand's own site or a well-known retailer, never to a form asking for a card number “just to cover shipping.” That one detail catches most of the scams before anything else does.

This site doesn't send out samples itself — every listing comes from an open brand promotion, or from a member passing along a freebie they claimed and used themselves. Occasionally a stale or already-gone offer slips through before someone flags it.

Edmonton currently lists 19 ads — checked, active, and free to claim. New ones get added as brands run fresh promotions, so it's worth checking back instead of stopping at the first page.
