Free books Weimar: a second life for what's already been read
A book rarely wears out physically the way other things do — even one that's been read several times is still perfectly usable for the next reader, which is why this category has some of the best-condition items on the whole site. Novels, textbooks, and reference books from Weimar usually get given away after a move or a shelf-clearing, not because anyone stopped valuing them.
Textbooks are worth checking for edition year, especially in subjects where the material changes over time — an outdated edition can cause real confusion if it's used for coursework.
Occasionally a genuinely collectible or rare title ends up in a free listing simply because the owner didn't realize its value — it happens more often than you'd expect.
Check for water damage or mold if a book was stored somewhere damp; that's the one condition issue that essentially never washes out.
