Free food Cebu City: when it's actually safe to take
Free Cebu City food listings most often come from someone clearing out a pantry or fridge before a move, not from spoiled or expired stock being offloaded. Always check expiration dates yourself rather than taking the seller's word for it — the date printed on the package is the most reliable source you have.
Shelf-stable items (canned goods, rice, oil) are the safer category to accept sight-unseen compared to perishables like dairy or meat, where storage conditions are impossible to verify from a listing alone.
Baby formula and food deserve extra scrutiny on packaging integrity and expiration, matching the standards required in the Philippines — this is one area where it's not worth taking any risk to save money.
Unopened bulk items from a buy-one-get-one promotion that never got used are a surprisingly common find in this category.
0 ads in this category, and messaging quickly on anything perishable makes a real difference, since those listings don't stay relevant for long.
